The Smokey Carter are a registered business working out of our inspected and approved premises in Cheshire. Established 2013.
Royal Mail for the most part, we have found to be very reliable. On occasion things can go wrong unfortunately. Royal Mail inform us we should allow 15 working days until an item is declared ‘lost,’ please contact us if you have found this to be the case. If you have received a package damaged in transit please contact us as soon as possible so we can correct this. We may ask that you kindly provide us with photographic evidence of the damage, and email this to us at: Info@thesmokeycarter.com
We request this for two reasons, firstly so we can learn from this and find a solution so it does not happen again, and secondly we would need this evidence if we were to make a claim against our shipment carrier. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
Our products are fully labelled with allergen advice and nutritional values, so you can make the best choices for you. For allergens, including cereals containing gluten, see ingredients in bold on our labels. Our products are manufactured in a facility that handles celery, mustard, soya, sesame and ingredients that may contain nuts.
The majority of our products are suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.
If you are unsure of anything relating to allergies and dietary needs, please get in touch via email, and we can better advise on a case by case basis.
All products have a best before date which can be found on the packaging. Once opened our sauces should live in the fridge and be consumed within 4 – 6 weeks, if you can last that long of course.
Our rubs & spices are packaged in resealable bags or flip top shakers to keep products fresh. As with all powder products; they are best kept in a cool dry place or airtight container away from moisture and direct sunlight. We don’t like to use E numbers or chemical products such as anti-caking agents, therefore its best to store them correctly to prevent clumping. If this does happen, the product is perfectly fine and they can be broken up easily enough with your fingers.
On occasions we get reports of missing parcels. On further investigation 9 times out of 10 we find that customers have used their Paypal account and not updated their delivery address since they last moved. Where we do everything we can to rectify this we cannot be held responsible for being provided an incorrect address. Please ensure the correct delivery address is provided at the checkout.
Online Paypal payments are accepted. We also accept payment via credit/debit card, Goodle Pay and Apple Pay.
Where boxes are required we strive to recycle and reuse cardboard and our other packing wherever possible. Save the planet! The majority of the time orders will be packed in brand new boxes. All our parcels are sent unbranded to ensure confidentiality.
